Lifeguide
Lifeguide is an online magazine for sustainable living in Augsburg. The Lifeguide is free of advertising and financed only by sponsors and donations. All authors work voluntarily and unpaid.
The magazine has three big focus points:
Articles about sustainable living, showing sustainable and inspiring places in Augsburg and presenting interesting events in Augsburg
The old website of Lifeguide Augsburg did not have enough visiters and the users were unhappy with the usability and the look of the website. Even though the articles are very written very well, the readability was not good at all.
This is what Lifeguide-Augsburg.de used to look like.
Methods
User research and user Interviews: What are your expectations and wishes, when you visit Lifeguide?
Developing personas, use cases and user journeys
New structure of the Website for a better Usability:
First sketches, wireframes and drafts
After some usability tests and iterations, this is the final result 🤩 :
Scrolling Animations for a higher joy of use:

Mobile
During the whole process, the mobile design was extremely important. Especially the Lifeguide-map with a variety of fair and sustainable locations in Augsburg is mostly used on the way.
Down here you can see some of the mobile screen variants.
